Our current projects support the martial arts community by

Introducing martial arts to the general public though fiction,
Providing non-fiction reference works to martial scholars,
Documenting martial arts of China on video,
Finding antique Chinese weapons,
Training martial artists of all abilities and experience through seminars, and
Contributing to valuable charitable foundations.

About the founders:

Martha de Forest, President, began her martial arts training in 1985 under Sifu Kwan Wing Lam in Sunnyvale, California after receiving her BS Computer Science and BS Electrical Engineering from Washington University, St. Louis. In 1996 she and Chet Braun founded Pacific Warriors, Inc. in order to focus more time and energy toward martial arts. She currently studies Shaolin Kung Fu and Tai Chi Chuan.

Chet Braun, Vice President, began his martial arts training in 1974 in Miami, Florida before completing his MS Physical Chemistry at the University of Miami. Over the next 13 years he studied Shaolin Kung Fu, Aikido, Kendo, Iaido, and Tai Chi. In 1985 he dedicated himself to studying Hung Gar Kung Fu and Tai Chi Chuan under Sifu Kwan Wing Lam. On November 15th, 1998, he became Sifu Lam's first disciple.

About our projects:

We will reintroduce to print the Tomoe Gozen Saga, a trilogy written by Jessica Amanda Salmonson depicting the fictionalized life of a great female Samurai warrior, Tomoe Gozen.

We are in the process of negotiating with authors for the rights to publish martial arts history not previously available in English and instructional materials for advanced martial artists.

In August of 1998 a camera crew accompanied the Wing Lam Kung Fu tour group to China. The tour included a week in Shaolin Village and a week in Beijing with Sun Jian Yung, the daughter of Sun Lu Tang and founder of Sun Style Tai Chi. We plan to make a video available for sale to those who wish to view contemporary martial arts in China.

In August of 1998 we purchased a number of antique Chinese weapons that are now offered for sale. The online catalog includes a photo and description of each weapon.

We conduct martial arts seminars on site in the Santa Cruz Mountains of California six times per year. The interests of the attending students dictate seminar topics and range from fantasy weapon use to martial arts basics to Tai Chi. Seminars are conducted the second weekend of odd numbered months.

We currently contribute to the Save the Tiger foundation. 1998 is the Year of the Tiger and a time to reflect on the plight of such a beautiful animal. The tigers' existence is in danger due to the value of its bones in Asian medicine.

"Elevate the Martial Spirit"

We pride ourselves on our great service and quality.
